The ranch is ideally situated for retired horses that need a safe place to live out the remainder of their life. Peaceful Pastures Ranch is located in Smartsville, California located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. We are below the snowline and the land is covered with beautiful oak trees, native grasses and a seasonal stream. The fall, winter and spring weather is mild and beautiful, summers are warm but typically are 80 – 102 degrees with low humidity. The ranch is located away from any major roads so it is a very quiet and safe. Access is all paved roads and we are 2 miles from Spenceville wild life riding and hiking preserve. We believe every horse has the right to enjoy being a horse. On the ranch its all about the horses! yes we spoil them with love and treats and make sure all of their needs are met to keep them healthy and happy. Horses are fed premium hay hand selected from local growers along with pasture grass. Complete feed pellets are from Elk Grove Milling provided to horses with dental issues or we can arrange to feed a comparable pellet of choice.

I have three geldings that need winter boarding. I am looking for a facility that i would do all the care feeding and cleaning. Do you have any availability? If so what would you charge?

Hi Tracie, I am so sorry I just got your email. I apologize my website sent you into spam. If you have not found a place let me know. A stall with feed and shavings is $425 I am out in the country its difficult to have someone coming in and out to feed because their horses may not get fed when mine are fed and it stresses the horses out. I prefer that everyone is on the same schedule. An outside run in shed with feed is $325 per horse includes a nice size pasture and alfalfa quality hay during the winter months. One run in will support 3 horses and your horses would have their own pasture.
